“Carb-itable” The irritability from watching non carb-conscious people be unappreciative of the delicious carbs they are eating.
This is my word, I made it up. 🙂
So I’ve been on a Ketogenic diet for about 155 days. I’ve lost approximately 40 pounds since then by dieting, lifting weights, and walking. The diet causes you to deplete your body of glucose so that it must convert to an alternative fuel source called ketones and fat. You achieve ketosis by eliminating carbs to under 20 grams a day, eat basically 70% fats, 25% proteins and less than 5% carbs.
I’ll talk more about my weightless somewhere else, but the bottom line is that it’s an attractive diet that allows you to have many benefits.
What’s funny though is how I’ve come to dislike the apathy associated with carb-eaters. They have NO IDEA what it’s like to have to cut out such amazing things like pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza….
The nice thing about this diet though, is that by taking off entire macro nutrients, I’m able to stay within the bounds because there are delicious foods I can eat. Not only are there great options to eat, but I have TONS of energy, because the boom and busy cycle of blood sugar, insulin etc. is almost eliminated.
I know that it’s not the perfect diet, but I’ve been TOTALLY self disciplined this time, no cheat days, cheat meals, or anything.
Basically I get the craving for pizza and chocolate occasionally. Then I make a pizza on these flatout wraps, and eat some sugar free jello pudding. I’ll dive into how I make these Pizzas some day, because they TOTALLY satisfy the pizza craving and I LOVE THEM!
Anyway – Carb-itable is my word, I made it up.
